SEO With AEO, GEO

Getting found on the first page of Google, and getting quoted by AI tools when they ask one for a recommendation instead.

Getting found on the first page of Google when someone searches for what you sell, and getting quoted by AI tools when they ask one for a recommendation instead. It has already changed how customers find businesses. Someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation instead of scrolling ten search results. Google puts an AI summary above everything else on the page. For a business or brand, being findable now means something different from what it meant two years ago.

How I do SEO

The audit comes first, and it might tell you not to bother.

Before I quote anything, I look at your site properly. Crawl health, indexing, what you rank for now, what your competitors rank for, and whether search demand in Nepal for what you sell justifies the spend.

Sometimes it does not. Some businesses get better returns from ads or from social. When that happens I say so, even though it costs me the project. Twelve months of retainer for work that was never going to pay you back helps neither of us.

Technical first, content second.

Publishing good content on a site Google struggles to crawl wastes the content. Broken links, duplicate titles, slow pages, pages indexed that should not be. Those get fixed first because everything else depends on them.

Then pages rebuilt around real demand.

Your commercially important pages get rewritten around what people search for. Checked, not assumed.

Then reporting you can follow.

Search Console and GA4, explained monthly without a glossary. You know what moved, what did not, and what happens next.

AEO — the new layer

Getting found by AI tools

People increasingly ask instead of searching. They put a question to ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI summary and take the answer.

Those tools do not rank pages. They pick sources to quote.

Getting quoted works differently from ranking. It needs content that answers the question in the first sentence rather than the fourth paragraph. It needs structured data telling the crawler who you are, what you do, and where. It needs claims specific enough to repeat, and an author whose credentials check out.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Free audit, two to three days: crawl health, indexing, current rankings, competitor comparison, and my read on whether SEO deserves your budget.

2. Roadmap: What I would fix, in what order, with a timeline. You see this before committing.

3. Technical fixes The foundation. Usually months one and two.

4. Pages rebuilt: Your most commercially important pages, rewritten around real search demand.

5. Content and measurement: New content, internal linking, monthly reporting

TIMELINE

I would rather set this out now than have you disappointed in month three.

Months 1 to 2. Technical work, and little visible movement. Normal, and not a sign that nothing is happening.

Months 3 to 4. Longer, more specific searches start moving. If you have a Google Business Profile, local results often move first.

Months 5 to 8. Competitive terms become realistic when the technical and content work has stayed consistent.

Months 9 to 12. The bigger head terms come into reach.

A new domain takes longer than an established one. I will give you a timeline for your specific situation before you spend anything.

Anybody who gives you a firm date for a firm ranking position is guessing. Google publishes that information to nobody.
